What do we do?
We offer three distinct services to achieve our mission of combating social isolation among seniors, addressing ageism, and bridging the generational gap.
Monthly Nursing Home Visit
Our initiative aims to connect nursing home residents who may feel isolated from the outside world with compassionate university students eager to make a difference. Through cultural exchanges, shared games, and casual conversations, we create opportunities to bridge generational gaps and foster meaningful relationships. These interactions allow both residents and students to gain new perspectives and enrich their lives. Additionally, we provide students with guided tours of the nursing home, offering them a deeper understanding of daily life in such environments.
Community Events
Our program invites local senior citizens who cherish meaningful interactions with the younger generation to join us in a vibrant exchange of experiences and perspectives. Through cultural activities, shared games, and heartfelt conversations, we aim to create memorable moments of connection. Highlights include live calls to grandparents, where we express our gratitude and celebrate intergenerational bonds, as well as opportunities to teach or learn technology and languages.

Genect Buddy
We are building a platform that bridges generations by connecting senior citizens with student "Genect Buddies" for meaningful interactions and support. Whether it’s sharing leisure activities, offering companionship, or assisting with daily tasks, our service fosters connection and mutual enrichment. Payments for these services are flexible, based on the activity or time spent, ensuring accessibility and value for all. Together, we aim to create a network that empowers seniors while giving students a chance to contribute positively to their communities.
